A Commitment to Advance STEM Education

The Foundation’s Education program officer Kimberly Brenneman, who focuses on early math, joined a list of more than 100 leaders who have signed an open letter publicly supporting strong science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) teachers and STEM education for all children in America.

The letter is part of a nonpartisan national effort known as 100Kin10 that emerged in 2011 with the goal of recruiting and preparing 100,000 K-12 STEM teachers by 2021. It has already led to the training of 40,000 new STEM teachers and supported tens of thousands more to improve their skills and stay in the classroom longer. Learn more about 100Kin10 here.
