Pure Justice is a Black-led membership organization that aims to transform the criminal legal system and remove economic barriers for formerly-incarcerated individuals in Harris County, Texas. Driven by Black and Brown Houstonians who have been impacted by the criminal legal system, Pure Justice uses grassroots organizing, civic engagement, and policy advocacy to break the cycle that traps low-income people of color in a cycle of incarceration and economic crisis.

This grant provides general support for Pure Justice to organize and educate system-impacted individuals, increase their ability to influence solutions and policies, and support them to change their communities by becoming leaders and organizers.
