The Greenlining Institute (Greenlining) works to advance a future where Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) communities can build wealth, live in healthy places filled with economic opportunity, and are ready to meet the challenges posed by climate change. Greenlining combines policy, research, and advocacy with grassroots community and coalition building and next-generation leadership development to achieve its objectives.

This grant provides general support for Greenlining to ensure that communities in California hit hardest by climate change and poverty receive investments to reduce pollution; create good jobs for local residents; improve the health of neighborhoods and families; and strengthen local economies without displacing low-income residents.
