Wall Street Journal Features Human Rights Grantee on Future of DACA

Here is a powerful video about the future of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), featuring Educators for Fair Consideration (E4FC), a project supported by the Foundation’s Human Human Rights program. The video, produced by the Wall Street Journal, tells the story of Jirayut “New” Latthivongskorn, an undocumented immigrant who is a medical student at University of California, San Francisco. Without DACA, New would not have had the opportunity to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor. According to the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, about 740,000 young immigrants in the United States have benefited from DACA since it was established in 2012.

E4FC empowers undocumented young people to achieve their academic and career goals and actively contribute to society. It provides scholarships, legal services, and professional and personal development for undocumented youth in the San Francisco Bay Area. It has also become a nationally-recognized resource for undocumented youth empowerment. To learn more about the Foundation’s support of E4FC, please click here.
