Devra Wang is the Director of the Climate and Clean Energy program. She served as the Foundation’s inaugural Climate and Clean Energy program director from 2016 to 2021, and rejoined the Foundation in 2025. 

Prior to her initial tenure at the Foundation, Ms. Wang served as program director at the Energy Foundation, focusing on strategies and grantmaking to reduce pollution from the power sector in the United States. She also served as director of the California Energy Program at the Natural Resources Defense Council for more than a decade, where she was instrumental in securing several groundbreaking policies including California’s statewide greenhouse gas emissions limit (AB 32) and the state’s leading utility energy efficiency commitments. More recently, she was a partner at Glass Wing Strategies, where she helped philanthropies, donors, and non-profit organizations develop impactful strategies to advance climate and clean energy policies and markets.
