The Center for the Study of Child Care Employment conducts research and proposes policy solutions to improve how our nation prepares, supports, and rewards the early care and education workforce to ensure young children’s optimal development. This grant supports policy-oriented research on the development, compensation, and financing of the early childhood workforce. It seeks to promote initiatives that tackle problematic features of the early childhood education delivery system, with special attention to workforce issues, and to raise awareness among policymakers, the public, and other stakeholders around the critical role that well-prepared, supported, and rewarded practitioners play in achieving positive outcomes for children.
