$200,000

The Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP) is a public interest organization promoting greater energy efficiency in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Wyoming. SWEEP promotes energy efficiency as a means to reduce the need for costly new power plants and transmission lines, protect the environment by reducing pollution, and save consumers and businesses money.

This grant supports SWEEP’s efforts to defend, strengthen, and expand energy efficiency programs and policies in the Southwest. These programs and policies help consumers reduce energy waste and save money by providing information and incentives for more efficient appliances, building materials and industrial equipment, as well as ensuring that new buildings meet minimum energy efficiency levels.
