News & Stories Northern California Grantmakers Names Jeff Malloy Board Chair Share By Heising-Simons Foundation on 1/9/2017 on 1/9/2017 We are pleased to announce that Jeff Malloy, chief operating officer and treasurer of the Heising-Simons Foundation, has been elected chair of the board of directors of Northern California Grantmakers (NCG). In addition to his work at the Foundation, Jeff has a long history of philanthropic service and leadership roles, including serving as board secretary of the Foundation Financial Officers’ Group and as board chair of the New Conservatory Theatre Center. He has been an active member of NCG’s board since 2013, most recently serving as its treasurer. Over the past two years, he was part of a steering committee that created a strategic alliance among NCG, Southern California Grantmakers, and San Diego Grantmakers—the state’s three regional associations. NCG brings together foundations with nonprofit organizations, government, and business to tackle the region’s most pressing social issues. As NCG’s chair of the board, Jeff will play a key role in advancing its strategic goals of equity and social justice, leadership, community and culture, and regional vibrancy and sustainability.
